Lexington Latin School
A Christian, classical, and traditional private school for students in grades JrK-12.
-
Christian
All things are illuminated in the light of Christ. As a result, everything about our school's culture—from what we teach to the way we teach—strives to be shaped by the way of Jesus and by the riches of the Christian tradition. LLS seeks to cultivate in students not only knowledge but also Christian character and virtue.
-
Classical
Classical education recognizes that the goal of education is to form students who know how to think clearly and are shaped by a love of truth, goodness, and beauty. LLS strives toward this high standard with a curriculum centered around the study of Latin and the great civilizations of Athens, Rome, and Jerusalem.
-
Traditional
In a traditional classroom, students are led into truth and understanding by wise teachers with a deep love and understanding of their subject. As a result, students first receive the wisdom of the past—from great thinkers and great books—then learn to claim it as their own and let it shape the way they see the world.
Winter Open House Program
Where education is not just about what you know but who you become.
On Wednesday, January 14th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. we are having our winter open house program. It’s an opportunity not just to see the school, but to experience the culture, relationships, and commitment to student growth that define who we are. This program is open to our upper and lower schools, Jr. Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Wisdom and Virtue Through Tradition
At Lexington Latin School we care as much about who our students are becoming as we do about what they are learning. We aim to give students both knowledge and wisdom through the illuminating power of Christ and the discipline of a classical education. Knowledge is about specific subjects, content, and facts; Wisdom is about life, good judgment, and character. Both are necessary, but wisdom is more necessary. A man with knowledge but without wisdom is not prepared to live well, and the aim and measure of an education is a life well lived. Learn more about how education forms the mind and soul.

Give your child the gift of a classical Christian education.
“A classical education is a pearl of great price and worthy of the highest efforts of our teachers and students because it aspires to give not only knowledge, but wisdom.”
